“George is responsible for the circuitry. He’s been designing vacuum-tube gear since his college days in England and was also part of a group that created navigating systems for the RAF. He has great respect for, and also draws inspiration from, classic tube-amp designs dating as far back as the 1930s, while implementing the best that current technology has to offer regarding parts selection, computer-aided design, and build-quality. All Zesto products are designed and built by hand at the company’s headquarters in Thousand Oaks, California.
George’s wife Carolyn is an artist and responsible for the unusually beautiful look of Zesto’s products, with their strikingly curvaceous structural elements and wavelike face panels. She’s also an integral part of Zesto’s business operation and by all accounts has been essential to Zesto’s rapid rise to success.
Although I’d prefer to think that I’m not such a “cheap date,” from the moment I fired them up I was swept away by Zesto’s Eros 500 Select Monaural power amplifiers and have remained so during my many months with them. Give them a listen, there’s a very good chance that you too will be swept away.
